2. When will my tickets be dispatched?
Tickets will be dispatched between two and four weeks before the Show. If you are worried your tickets have not arrived please contact the Ticket Factory on 0844 581 82 82.
3. What are the facilities for disabled visitors?
Disabled seating is priced in band C. All disabled visitors, attending shows are advised to call the NEC’s dedicated Ticket Line for disabled visitors when booking tickets - 0121 782 3555. For HOYS, The NEC’s service partner Magbility operate a mobility equipment hire service. We strongly advise visitors to pre-book equipment to avoid disappointment. Magbility operate a telephone booking line Monday to Friday 0900hrs-1700hrs on 01527 837076. For any visitors who have not pre-booked equipment and arrive on the day, any remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Manual wheelchairs are free of charge to blue badge holders, £5 per day to other visitors. Electric scooters are £15 per day for all visitors. For more information click here.
4. How do I find out who won what?
You can look at our Results section on the website by clicking here. Or if you have a query about results that you cannot find on the site, please contact our Equestrian Department by emailing showsecretary@hoys.co.uk.
5. How much are Shopping Only tickets for HOYS?
Shopping only tickets are available for Wednesday - Friday. They can be purchased from The Ticket Factory on 0844 581 82 82 or by clicking here and are available mid-February.
6. What is on and when?
The timetable can be found by clicking here. Please be aware that timings are approximate and the organisers reserve the right to make changes to the scheduled timetable.
7. What is the NEC postcode?
The postcode for the NEC is B40 1NT.
8. What are the dates for 2012?
The dates for HOYS 2012 show are 3rd – 7th October.
9. How do I qualify for HOYS?
Competitors must qualify to compete at HOYS, details of qualifying shows can be found here. In order to enter the qualifying class you and your horse must be registered with the relevant society or association. If details of the qualifier you are looking for is not yet online or you have a competitor query, please email showsecretary@hoys.co.uk.
10. How do I find a copy of the Ode to a Horse? (This is the poem read at the end of the show during the finale).
The Ode to the Horse was written by Ronald Duncan, a copy of the poem can be found here.
11. What is the Lap of Honour Music?
The current music played during the lap of honours is ‘I will survive / la la la’ by The Hermes House Band. This can change from year to year.

13. How can I work/volunteer at HOYS?
Please monitor our websites as any vacancies are posted online in the first instance. If you would like to volunteer to work at the Show please send a CV and cover letter to personnel@hoys.co.uk to register your interest.
14. Why is there a booking fee?
The Ticket Factory manages the ticketing for HOYS and they charge a booking fee per ticket for doing so. If you purchase your tickets in cash and in person at the NEC a booking fee will not be charged.
15. Can tickets be purchased on the door?
Subject to availability, tickets can be purchased on the door; however, as performances sell out, we recommend all visitors purchase their tickets in advance.
